I'm not sure I agree with the sentiment, but I love the colour and cross stitch inspired design of this print by Hazel Nicholls for Keep Calm Gallery, hand printed on watercolour paper it has a limited edition of 40- so get it quick!
I expect you've already come across the work of Frederique Morrel...but if you haven't, she's an artist that forms one of a kind everyday objects and sculptures from patchworks of vintage needlepoint. More recently she's been creating these life size deer sculptures, where she covers a fibreglass taxidermy mould with vintage needlepoint- amazing!
