House Industries designers cleverly combine cultural, musical and graphical elements to create their typography. Create a retro, bookish feel to a living room or study by combining one of their screenprinted posters, neutraface slab pillows and my Alpha needlepoint designs.

Jessica Hische is a typographer and illustrator that designs an illustrative initial every day on her website the Daily Drop Cap. She's really inspired me as I'm currently designing a range of charted letters for needlepoint (I'm not sure I'll finish one a day though!)

I am so inspired by the works of art created over at Squint, I love the fact that each piece is unique and a testament to the nature of couture craftsmanship. In my dreams I would commission a sofa covered in all different stripes and linear printed fabric to go with my Cuban car needlepoint cushions!
I am a big fan of Paul Smith, I love the way he uses colour and pattern in his designs. This 'Love' needlepoint wall hanging is so striking and would take ages to stitch! I'm so pleased designers are now starting to recognise needlepoint as a textural medium.

More lovely Anthropologie items! I love the textural handmade quality of the blanket and cushions, and the patchwork effect of the duvet cover. All I think would look perfect alongside my Three Swallows needlepoint design creating a colourful eclectic bohemian look.

I am so pleased Anthropologie has finally come to the UK! I'm so looking forward to visiting their Regents Street store this week. These new needlepoint cushions are so lovely- I especially like the vintage painterly feel and the way the image fades into an outline around the border...
